I’ve been writing software for over 25 years. I’ve used a lot of different languages on a lot of different types of computers over the years. But the whole craft of software development is still in its early stages and the great thing is that every year there is something new to learn.  Moore’s law drive the increase in hardware speed which means that every year something new becomes feasible to do on a desktop machine that was previously infeasible.

Additionally, in the last decade or so the internet has offered us fundamentally new ways of communicating and using software to connect people and machines.

I am driven by an insatiable curiosity and a low boredom threshold. Programming keeps me entertained.
